Rescue and rehabilitation for ex sex workers

We have worked with hundreds of disadvantaged women for several years. And one thing we found in common with most ex-sex workers in our programs is that they choose this lifestyle because they feel like they are left with no other alternative and must provide for their children and themselves one way or another.

In our rehabilitation programs, we provide women with skills and vocational training to offer an alternative route in life, while supporting them with their families.

What We Offer

• Vocational training in sewing machines.
• Vocational training in hairdressing.
• Support for women involved while they are in the course. This may include school fees, clothing, and feeding.
• Art Workshops.

Children of Destiny 

Children of Destiny is the subsection for our children's department's projects. We are committed to providing children with an education, shelter and love.

 All children deserve the right to basic needs such as shelter, food and an education. We sponsor school fees for children and teens in Uganda, Rwanda and Nigeria. We also support an educational centre in Lagos, Nigeria.

What We Offer

• Our team help to locate family members of street children and support their rehabilitation process.
• We also provide shelter and family for street children who do not have parents or have been abandoned.
• We provide school fees for the least privileged in society.
• Free health insurance.
• Free art workshops and dance classes from experts.
• Fun Days.
• Clothing for children and babies.

 An estimated 45 percent of all deaths in young children are linked to malnutrition, and at Destiny Rebuilders, we have decided to be part of the solution.

What We Offer

• We feed two communities in Rwanda monthly by setting up a. market place which provides food supplies such as vegetables, fruits, rice and more, all free of charge.
• We also hold programs where a community in Nyamirambo is invited to enjoy free cooked wholesome meals.
• We partner with hotels every holidays to bring a large group of underprivileged children to enjoy a free meal.

Previous hotel partners include Radisson Blue and Onomo Hotel Kigali.

"Destiny Rebuilder’s final project is to create a kindergarten where there is a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can explore, learn, and grow into confident, compassionate, and curious individuals ready for lifelong learning.” 

We are in the process of building a kindergarten for under-privileged families in Kigali. We have a site, architect and builders and we are now going through an aggressive fund raise to build the kindergarten in the latter part of 2025. Children in Rwanda only access state schooling from 7 years of age, only the financially secure can go to Kindergarten. We want to change this and make education free and fair for all, with access to good food and resources.
